All About Mrs. Decker

Hi there!  I am so excited to be teaching Idea Lab and Enrichment at the Fifth Grade Center.  This is my tenth year in gifted education.  Previously, I taught second grade for seven years at Spoede Elementary.

·      Education:

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Saint Louis University.  I have received my certification and Master's degree in Gifted Instruction through the University of Missouri-Columbia.

My hobbies and interests include:

Reading

Yoga

Traveling

Trying new things/foods
Learning about different cultures

Little known facts about Mrs. Decker:

-I can stand on my head (for a long time!).

-I love everything chocolate.

-Penguins are my favorite animals.

-I have three siblings: Emily, Donny, and Doug.

-My husband, Mark, is also a teacher.  We have 3 very sweet boys - Cormac is 8, Rooney is 6, and Kiernan is 3.

-I am passionate about gifted education!
